First Day of School - recap

Here's on picture of Celia's first day of school. More to come. This is Celia with her neighbor friend, Conner. They are in the same class. The picture is too cute! The headband was a last minute decision by Celia (it was in the car) and I could not start an argument for fear she wouldn't go into the classroom if she were angry......so the headband stayed!

The day went well. She was dressed and ready for school by 8:30am (her class doesn't start until 12:45pm). She was so excited when I got home at Noon to take her to school. She did not even want to sit for pictures before we left. I dropped her off in her classroom, she put her book bag in her cubbie, found her name tag and sat down at a table to play blocks with Conner and I left - no problems (we think). Some kids started to cry when we were in the hall - we decided to keep on walking! Celia and Conner claim no one cried..........hmmmm

Jamie picked her up from school, asked how her day was and she said "Daddy, Noooooooo, I'm not gonna talk about it!" Full of typical Celia attitude. At dinner, I did get tidbits of info.....she talked about the cleanup song and a little girl in her class that has pierced ears! Kristin (Conner's Mom) got as little info about school as we did. She heard that they read a book about a pig and that there were toy tractors in the classroom. Even though I have little info on the goings on in school - Celia did announce at dinner that she had a wonderful day!

And she has already decided what outfit she will wear today! I guess she wants to go back!
