Celia's Dance Class

Celia attended her first dance class last Saturday.
This is a milestone for us all.................
All summer we put Celia into classes (T-Ball, Lacrosse). She was excited about these classes at first but after the first or second session of either TBall or Lacrosse, she claimed they were "boy" sports and it was too boring. Or her legs were too tired. Or she had to go to the bathroom during class to kill time. She would fight with us to even go. But, we wanted to give her a chance to experience all types of activities, so we kept her going.

All along, she said she wanted to do dance class and cheerleading class. So, this fall, I signed her up for dance at the T.A.D.A. - Tammy Allen Dance Academy in Victor. I bought her a black leotard and tights, ballet shoes, (still looking for tap shoes). She loves the outfit! Wants to wear it all the time.

She participated in this class like I've never seen her participate before! She smiled from ear to ear the entire time. Danced like crazy, did somersaults and even tried (without giving up) to do cartwheels! Never once did she have to go to the bathroom, cling to Mommy, or have tired legs - this class was a full hour! I think we found her passion! I was so happy to see how happy she was! It was just too cute!

But - this tells me - we now have all the fun 5 hour dance recitals ahead of us! Ugh!

And for Jamie's sake - CJ at least seems to have great interest in TBall and Lacrosse and hockey, etc. So - Jamie still has hope for a sports child!
